Water Pre-Treatment

Feed water, depending on its source, may contain various concentrations of suspended solids and dissolved matter. Water Pre-Treatment is important for the removal of suspended impurities, solids, colloids and living organisms from raw water or wastewater. Water Pre-Treatment ensures water quality is not influenced by seasonal changes, extreme weather or industrial pollution. Conventional pre-treatment refers to feeding a membrane separation process (MSP) or physical separation process.

The technologies Ferro Aquatektek applies for pre-treatment include flocculation and coagulation to remove particles that would not be removed by sedimentation or filtration. Thereafter, filtration, microfiltration, ultrafiltration and nanofiltration processes along with reverse osmosis are used to filter out various sizes of particles along with ions, allowing purified water to flow through.

Condensate Polishing Units

Ferro Aquatektek designs, integrates and manufactures condensate polishing units (CPU) that work on the principle of ion exchange technology for the removal of trace dissolved minerals and suspended matter. These units are installed at several industries with boilers, steam generators, reactors and turbines to remove impurities (predominantly silica oxides and sodium).
