Castor Seed Processing Process
1. Seed Cleaning
Screens, aspiration and magnets remove dust, stones, stalks and metallic contaminants before processing.
2. Dehulling
Controlled cracking and hull separation reduce fibre and prepare the kernel for efficient conditioning.
3. Conditioning
Heating and moisture adjustment soften the seed structure and optimise oil release during pressing.
4. Mechanical Pressing
Heavy-duty screw presses extract crude castor oil while producing stable press cake for further processing.
5. Oil Clarification
Settling, screening and filtration remove suspended solids to prepare the oil for storage or refining.
6. Refining
Optional refining sections reduce impurities and deliver oil suited to the required industrial specification.
