Choose an edible oil refinery for your crude oil

What each refining stage does
- Degumming removes gums and phospholipids before the next refining stages.
- Neutralization reduces free fatty acids in an alkali refining route; separation, washing and drying are selected with the process.
- Bleaching treats the oil with adsorbent to reduce unwanted colour and impurities, followed by filtration.
- Dewaxing and winterization address wax or high-melting fractions where the oil and finished-product specification require them.
- Deodorization treats oil under vacuum to remove unwanted volatile components. The complete process must be specified for the oil being refined.
